Best photography book for amateurs with the basic knowledge…?

I’ve had my DSLR (not a fantastic one – Canon 450D) for about a year and half now but I seem to have stalled. I know the basics like shutter speed and aperture but I would like to go into more detail about composition and lighting and all that jazz. I also have very basic equipment – 1 extra zoom lens, an external flash and a few filters) with little chance of getting more in the near future. So I don’t want one that’s too complex or one that dwells on the things I already know. Any suggestions?

the 450D is a good camera… if you don’t consider it to be good, then perhaps you need to look at your personal skills…

as for books… there are loads out there that tell you the same things…

there is more information online and you don’t have to buy it…
